Here’s little Earl after his meal. He had a nice drink of formula for puppies. It is the best replacement for his mother’s milk. Never give a baby squirrel kitten formula. It will kill the poor little baby. He is doing new things all the time. Today, he scratches with his back leg for the first time, and I caught it on camera. Yesterday, his little back legs were not a coordinated.

This is a general idea of how to care for a newly found baby squirrel. I am not an expert but I do have past experiencee, with much success, caring for two orphaned squirrels. This information comes from my experience, personal advice, and research from the internet. Caring for wildlife is best left to those who are paid and/or volunteer their services for rescue, rehabilitation and release, but most are overwhelmed at times and would ask that you try to do it yourself. Hopefully, this information will come in handy in the meantime where a shelter or rescue facility is not easily assessible or is closed at the time of the find and you do not chose to do it yourself.
